New Year’s Resolutions and I have a love-hate relationship. I hate the negative energy that comes with focusing on changing things I don’t like about myself, or the frustration I feel if I don’t complete my goal. However, I love the idea of a fresh start each year and a new set of goals to work toward. This year I want to focus on goals that are attainable with an emphasis on positivity.
My resolution is simply to be more mindful: Mindful of my health. I hope to eat healthy consistently and I’d like to be able to do at least 5 pull-ups by the end of the year. Mindful of our use of plastic products and products that test on animals. I’d like to significantly cut down on our use of both of these types of products by the end of the year. Mindful of my relationship. I want to spend more quality time together and savor every minute of the moments we have as just a family of two for the next couple of years.
