Rob and I spent the last two weeks of March traveling to three US cities as part of the final step in my, “what city should I start flipping houses in” research. From 10 possible cities, I narrowed it down to three-- Denver, Dallas and Raleigh. It was definitely more of a business trip, but we did manage to squeeze in some non-business related activities at each stop.
Dallas-- Dinner at Joe T Garcia’s in Fort Worth. Coffee at Davis Street Espresso in Bishop Arts. Visiting Magnolia Market at The Silos (the store and community area owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines from HGTV’s Fixer Upper) in Waco.
Raleigh-- Lunch overlooking the Durham Bulls stadium. Meeting the newest addition to my Louisburg College family. BBQing burgers in the backyard with good friends.
All this travel left me truly exhausted and I wondered frequently why I had planned these trips in such a short amount of time. BUT I am glad we did it. It was more helpful than I could have ever imagined to visit each city, meet with a few real estate agents and see potential properties. And after analyzing everything I learned on these trips we've chosen to start my new career in the great state of Texas!
Do you have recommendations on things to do/see, or restaurants/bars that we HAVE to check out in the Dallas/Fort Worth area?
